Fall 2018 SGA Senate Elections Timeline

August 20th – Candidate Application Packets become available online and in the SGA Office (Student Union, Room 214) at 9am

September 14th – Candidate Application Packets Due by 5pm – Please return to the SGA Office Front Desk Staff

September 17th – Campaigning begins at 9am

September 24th – 26th – Voting takes place at my.ucf.edu

 

How to Run for Senate? A Step by Step Guide

Step 1: Pick up a Candidate Application Packet and Petition of Candidacy forms from the SGA Office or print them out online.

Step 2: Complete your Candidate Application Packet and retrieve the required petition signatures from any currently enrolled UCF student (75 signatures for undergraduate candidates and 25 signatures for graduate candidates). Also, be sure to attend a mandatory Informational Session, as outlined below.

Step 3: Turn in your Candidate Application Packet to the SGA Office.

Thursday, August 30th @ 10am & 12pm

Tuesday, September 4th @ 10:30am

Thursday, September 6th @ 6pm

Friday, September 7th @ 2pm

Monday, September 10th @ 11:30am

Thursday, September 13th @ 6pm

The 51st Session of UCF’s Student Body Senate will be broken down in the following manner:

College of Arts and Humanities: 4 seats

College of Business Administration: 8 seats

College of Community Innovation and Education: 6 seats

College of Engineering and Computer Science: 10 seats

College of Graduate Studies: 9 seats

College of Health Professions and Sciences: 6 seats

Rosen College of Hospitality Management: 3 seats

College of Medicine: 3 seats

College of Nursing: 3 seats

College of Sciences: 9 seats

Nicholson School of Communication and Media: 4 seats

College of Optics and Photonics: 1 seat

Undeclared Majors: 1 seat

Undergraduate Studies: 2 seats
